Carefully selected fruit from Single Vineyard parcels, resulting in wines of exceptional character and a unique taste of place.

The Vineyard:

This monumental one-acre parcel was originally planted in 1992. Winters had taken their toll and there has been replanting since , but well over half of it is the ‘vielles vignes’ first planting. Dan likes to pay homage to the best traditions and characteristics of the spiritual and still de facto home, Alsace, and is committed to maximum ripeness, opulence, and varietal expression in our ‘Small Lots Gewürztraminer’.

Winemaking:

We fermented this vintage in old, neutral wood slowly and let nature find its way.

Tasting Notes:

A bold nose of mango, pineapple, and melon with faint notes of matcha and honeycomb is the invitation to this intense vintage of Gewürztraminer. A rich melange of lychee, candied mango, and apricot is pronounced on the palate with gentle notes of chai and lilac present on the warm and satisfying finish. The wonderfully ripe crop of 2020 fruit has resulted in a velvety textured bottle and an impressive staying power on the palate may surprise even the biggest white wine skeptic. Excellent with classic German staples such as Bratwurst and sauerkraut. Also a good pairing with pad thai or red curries.
